JEET KUNE DO

Jeet Kune Do, The Way of the Intercepting Fist, was developed by legendary martial artist, Bruce Lee, in the late 1960s. Lee believed to be adequately proficient against a violent encounter in the streets, one must be simple, direct, and non-classical.

Simple: no complicated movement
Direct: the shortest route to target
Non-Classical: nullifying traditional limitation.

Every initial act of self-protection must be effective and practical, with the importance of INTERCEPTION.  Instead of the traditional way of defend and attack, Jeet Kune Do focuses on INTERCEPTING the opponent’s attack with an attack of one’s own.

Proper use of body mechanics and body alignment are also essential for combat. Structure must be maintained at all times, no deviation. Applying full use of the body in a scientific approach, Lee also researched Newtonian Physics (Laws Of Motion) and Kinesiology (Human Movement). Only to be optimized and ultimately amplified if "Economy of Motion" is incorporated.

All fights are alive and unpredictable.

Jeet Kune Do is geared to deal with violent altercations.  There are no rules when it comes to those who want to endanger your life. Bruce Lee developed Jeet Kune Do to hack away the unnecessary conditioning of complicated movement for unarmed combat so we can be limitless when the time comes for confrontation.
